Juvéderm Fillers

The JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). What’s interesting about HA is that it’s a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Each product in the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from a modified form of HA. Juvederm was approved by the FDA in 2006. This filler offers a high level of control for individualized, tailored facial contouring and for achieving a smooth, long-lasting and natural look.

Why does volume loss matter?

Over time, your face changes in many ways. This is part of the normal aging process, but genetics and environmental factors also play a role. You may notice a change in the appearance of your skin, typically in the form of deepening parentheses lines and wrinkles…but what may be less obvious is age-related midface volume loss.

What are the signs of volume loss?

Your cheeks may flatten, and the skin may begin to sag.

The Juvéderm Family of Fillers are excellent treatment options for:

  • Deep folds
  • Facial lines
  • Volume enhancement of the lips
  • Shaping facial contours (such as cheeks and chin correcting)
  • Smile lines (correcting thin, superficial lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead)

Longevity study results: At 24 weeks, 96 percent of nasolabial folds treated with Juvéderm had maintained clinically significant correction, and 81 percent maintained the correction for 1 year or more. Results were similar for those subjects with follow-up through 48 weeks after repeated treatment.

The Juvéderm Family of Fillers includes several different products designed for use in varying areas of the mid to lower face. These products vary in density and technology to correct specific issues with the aging face. These products, when combined in a personally tailored treatment plan, work together for greater correction of the aging face.

Filler densities are area-specific

Generally, you can expect the denser fillers to be used in areas that require deeper levels of product injection and thinner fillers to be used in areas that are frequently mobile. Juvederm’s four formulas all are designed to give you the best results in

the areas they have been developed for.

Juvederm® XC (Ultra/Ultra Plus)

A highly cross-linked formulation for moderate folds around the nose and mouth.

  • The #1 selling dermal filler brand in the US
  • Duration of 12 months

Juvederm Voluma

Mid-Face Filler. We lose volume due to decreased collagen, bone and migrating fat pads. It is simply what the body does as it ages. Losing volume in the face alters the way you look and often that alteration says “older”. Getting older is fine, but looking older is not something you necessarily embrace.

Treatable Areas

  • Mid face
  • Cheekbone area
  • Chin

Immediate-action volumizers have existed before Juvederm Voluma, but none were specifically developed for the purpose of restoring volume to deflated cheeks and chin. Voluma has action lasting up to 24 months.

Juvederm Vollure

Moderate to severe lines in the mid face:

  • Laugh Lines (Parentheses lines)
  • Marionette Lines
  • Horizontal Chin Lines

Parentheses lines are static lines that appear around your nose and mouth when your face is at rest. This happens over time as your skin loses some of the building blocks (hyaluronic acid and collagen) that give the skin its structure.

How is Vollure different from Voluma?

Vollure maintains correction and also allows easy movement in the treated area with a molecule weight mix specific for this area. Voluma is weighted a little heavier than Vollure and is not quite as elastic in nature. Volume replacement in the cheek is not subject to the same repeated movements in the mouth area, so a filler that’s a little stiffer, like Voluma, works best for cheek augmentation. (18 months longevity)

Juvederm Volbella

Developed specifically for your lips and mouth area. If you’ve lost the soft, sensual lips you used to have and want a subtle, more kissable look, then Volbella is exactly what you need.

LIP AGING: The CAUSE

The skin on your lips is constantly moisturised from within by hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar. As your skin loses hyaluronic acid over time, lines begin to appear around the mouth.

LIP AGING: The EFFECT

This loss of hyaluronic acid leads to the appearance of wrinkles and the loss of fullness to your lips. As your lips become thinner, they lose volume and lack definition. Typically, you’ll develop vertical, or “marionette”, lines around the mouth, which can form at the corners going down to the chin or we can even develop a droop to the corners of the mouth, giving your mouth a sad appearance.

LIP AGING: The FIX

Restoring volume-replenishing hyaluronic acid via Volbella can

  • Fill in “smoker’s lines”
  • Plump the lip body
  • Define the lip border
  • Restore the philtral columns
